Drew Hart

Drew Hart

Drew was appointed as our Senior Pastor in 2014. Prior to that, he served at Ann Arbor: West Side United Methodist (part-time); Millington United Methodist; Mackinaw City: Church of the Straits; and Lake Orion United Methodist. Drew’s call to ministry came during college while he was studying to become a high school band teacher. Though he never pursued being a music teacher, he brings with him a love for music as well as the ability to share his piano playing from time to time in worship.

Drew has fully embraced the Vital Church Initiative that was begun just prior to his arrival, and has been very intentional about helping our church live into our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ. To this process he brings a passion for helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and living their faith out in their day-to-day world.

Pastor Drew is a on-again-off-again runner (he ran the Traverse City Bay Shore Marathon in 2004), enjoys reading his Kindle, and likes to mow his lawn! If you’re at church while he’s there, you can usually find him behind his home-made standing desk.

In 2014 Drew and Caroline celebrated their 25th anniversary. Their daughter, Rachel, is a student at Huntington University (Huntington, IN) with a double major in Film Production and History. They have two cats, Gus and Lucy.
