Stone Column

The Stones rolled into Adrian over a month ago and are mostly unpacked. We are enjoying the parsonage (henceforth to be referred to as “the parsnip”) meeting neighbors, renewing relationships, and making new friends.

We have had two new trees planted; a Merlot Redbud in the front yard and a Tulip tree in the back yard. We also planted two boomerang lilacs and a diablo shrub. We plan to plant some hostas and ferns in the shady hillside on the west side of the parsnip soon. We have some already being donated, but if you have hostas or shade-loving plants that need to be split, please let us know. We’re hoping for a hosta takeover.

Transitions are always challenging, but even more so in the midst of a global pandemic. We look forward to being able to meet people un-masked and without all of the precautions necessitated by COVID-19. Until such a time we will meet the challenge before us as we discover new ways to be in ministry.

I know that we will continue to find creative ways to be the body of Christ together. I dare to be filled with hope in these uncertain times that we will continue to find ways to reach out and welcome others who are longing for hope and healing, community and compassion, gratitude, and grace.

Peace & Blessings,
Rev. Eric Stone
